Cambridge City Council has approved plans for the expansion of Cambridge Biomedical Campus, adding another 23 acres to the edge-of-town site.

The ‘landscape first’ approach is based on a series generous, accessible courtyards across the site; this responds to the wider aims of the masterplan to promote connectivity and communication, and the science campus’ collaborative ethos.

Gillespies Landscape Architects has worked with award-winning conceptual artist Ryan Gander to achieve an integrated public art and landscape design strategy for the space.
